USCIS Releases New E-Verify Enhancements

This week the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released a series of E-Verify enhancements which will go into effect immediately for all users of the E-Verify web interface. These changes appear to be subtle enhancement and not a substantive (and potentially disruptive) overhaul of the system.

Changes include support for Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above, Firefox, Chrome, and Safair browsers.  Companies will be allowed to report their E-Verify activity with a new Quick Audit Report function.  New fields have been created to help reduce instances of tentative nonconfirmations for employees who provide a foreign passport. A new Web-based tutorial replaces the live webinar training required of new Corporate Administrators. And finally, a new E-Verify User Manual for Corporate Administrators is now available.  For more information visit USCIS.
